I’ve had to say goodbye more times than I’ve liked, but everyone can say that.
And no matter how many times we do it, even when it’s for the greater good, it still stings.
And though we’ll never forget what we’ve given up, we owe it to ourselves to keep moving forward.
What we can’t do is live our lives always afraid of the next goodbye, because chances are they’re not going to stop.
The trick is to recognize when a goodbye can be a good thing; when it’s a chance to start again.”
Ugly Betty Season 4 Episode 11
Goodbyes can be very hard, sometimes we ignore saying it hoping that; loved one will come back, we’ll have that feeling again, we’ll see that friend again.
As sad and final as it may sound, we need to say goodbye to have closure. Tell that person, situation that we are strong and can carry on in-spite of it all.
Now before we think this is some story about love gone awry, it’s not! I was watching Ugly Betty and the episode just got me thinking about this.
How do you say goodbye to the father who left? Or the mother who died? How do you let that baby know you loved him/her before you even got to hold him/her? How do you tell that boy/ girl who broke your heart that you forgive him/her?
It’s sad but for you to fully heal, you need to say goodbye and move on.
This seems all muddled up but just wanted to share it anyways 🙂
So don’t be sad about the “loss” of someone/something special, be happy about the moments shared. It might take a while but you’ll get over it and you’ll be fine.
The best way to deal with all this is Jesus, He’ll heal your heart and cleanse your past. He knows where and how you hurt, he feels your pain and is just waiting for you to call on Him. Try him today, just whisper how you hurt and He’ll be right by your side 🙂
Talk to y’all later 🙂
Have a lovely day and remember your smile is a precious gift to someone somewhere! 🙂
Here’s a song from One Tree Hill ; Season 9 episode 11 it sounds a bit sad but I love the song.
