22 choses que je suis reconnaissant pour


Hi everyone!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

On the 10th of December, I decided to write one thing I was thankful for. I will have to blame Mr Efe’s blog for this 🙂  and I must say it was a wonderful experience writing down one thing I was thankful for daily! There were days  I drew blanks and had to dig and dig until I found something, some other days  it flowed like the rivers of living waters!(Hallelujah somebody!!)

So without much ado, I give you :22 things I’m thankful  for (from the number it spans 22 days)

December 10 

Today, I’m thankful for my dad. For where God has brought him from and to. For the love he has for us (his children) and my mother.  HAPPY BIRTHDAY DADDY

Today, I’m thankful for shelter. Yes, Shelter!! A roof over my head, not taking anything for granted

Today, I’m thankful that I could help people this year. Even when it wasn’t “appreciated” and especially for those times the same helping hand was extended  to me.

Today, I’m thankful for my Mum. She’s my EVERYTHING!!!!

Today, I’m thankful for cooking. From the tasteless and burnt food to the WOW “bite your tongue” meals. For the grace to do all I set out to do with Cooking. Thankful for discovering these sites and Facebook group: All Nigerian Recipes , Dooney’s Kitchen and So you think you can cook.

Today, I’m thankful for Olayinka Kodjo Sagoe and Ayokunle OlisaemekaFagbemi. Thank God for your lives and where you have come from within 1 year. Momma loves you both

Today, I’m thankful for my health. Had some health scares and still a couple of issues left but all in all, the Lord God Almighty has been and will forever be faithful.

I woke up crying. I asked myself “why should I be thankful?” when it all looks like everything is falling apart. But I will be strong for after the storm comes the calm. So Today, I’m thankful for the storms of life

Today, I’m thankful for nothing and everything. I forgot to write my thoughts down 😦

Today, I’m thankful for the Holy Spirit. For the times I listened when I was given instructions/directions. For the many times I ignored as well….. Thankful for all.

December 22

Today, I’m thankful for headaches!!! The ones that made me cry out in pain to God, the month-long migraines. Thankful because despite it all I’m still standing.

Today, I’m thankful for the WORD. So  much joy, comfort and hope it brought me when I read it. Still thankful for the times I didn’t read it.

Today, I’m thankful for money. For the times I didn’t have it(Oh those times!!) the times I was swimming in it and for being a blessing to others with it. Also thankful for those who owe me money, and the ones I owe, God will help us all 🙂

Today, I’m thankful for the grace to see another Yuletide season. Thank you Jesus for coming to this world.

December 26 

Today, I’m thankful for the air to breathe, eyes to see, legs to walk, ears to hear.. That is to say; Thankful for my whole body.

P.S I can confirm that I did not box anyone today 🙂 You get it? Boxing day so… err I give up

Today, I’m thankful for my hair!! It’s been through a lot and despite my lack of attention sometimes, it’s grown A LOT .

Happy Birthday to my hair!!! Three years and counting (this is when I cut my hair to almost gorimapa)

Today, I’m thankful for tears. The ones shed in pain. Pain of; losing a loved one, failure, sickness, broken hearts.. More thankful for the TEARS OF JOY!!

December 29

Today, I’m thankful for church. Waking up and rushing to for Sunday School, the times I didn’t meet up. For the growth and times I just wanted to stay in bed but didn’t.

December 30

Today, I’m thankful for the new skills I’ve learnt over the past 12 months; blender beans peeling method, button bouquet, food processor pounded yam, hair braiding and styling, bread making etc. Thank you Lord.

Today I’m thankful for love. for the times it felt like it wasn’t worth it. Thankful for the grace to rise above the circumstances and come out victorious. Thankful that we grow with each storm or issue, we get better and by God’s grace we will ever remain victorious!! Love you Ade mi :*

Also thankful for the growth I experienced with relationships, for the times I flew off the handle and how the Lord is gradually teaching me patience, especially with other human beings (I never said I was perfect)

I’m forever thankful for two angels God placed in my life; Omoboluwaji Onabolu, you’ve been there for me this year and for that I say thank you, God will reward you.
Opeyemi aka DJ Archyra you were the friend I didn’t expect to have, for the laughs, encouragement and everything, the One who rewards every good thing will visit you in 2014.

Peter Urubusi, my brother, friend, prayer partner, God dey see us, He go show your side 🙂 and got you Mr olaolu Akeredolu, you sent words of encouragement in times it was needed, that simple hello, the prayers, God bless and keep you for me.

Keniebi Ebitibituwa my G, my elder bro, my padi. Thanks for listening to my ramblings, whining and what not! 2014 will be a surprise to you, you will soar on God’s wings. I love you booboo! Also thankful for my siblings; Wanda, David and Divine, I love you guys so much and can’t wait for the great things you’ll achieve in 2014.

I am not where I envisioned myself  on the 31st of December 2013 but I sure am not where I was on the 31st of December, 2012 and for that I give thanks.

2014 will be everything and anything you want.  All I know is he that commits his way to the Lord is in for a great ride.

With that  I wish you all a HAPPY,  WONDERFUL, TESTIMONY-FILLED, LAUGHTER-INDUCING and “WHATEVER YOU WANT IT TO BE” Year!!!!
