I started my yearly or is it “when the mood strikes” hiatus from social media and all that seems like it.
This time it was a bit harder because of my new-found family on whatsapp and Instagram 🙂 but I had to be strong and stick to it. I deleted all social media affiliated apps on the 24th of February and I won’t say a tear or two was not shed 😛 but it’ll be over on the 26th of March (Yippie!!)
The Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) Worldwide is undergoing a 100 day fast(and other variations of the fast), it has challenged me thus far but I am certain that for everyone who’s undergoing it, the rewards and blessings will be immeasurable.
I woke up on the 27th of February and a scripture stuck with me all day so I said to myself why don’t you have a scripture for everyday, I read the bible and all but this is about something I hold on to throughout the day and this was just exciting. I’ve ignored the whispers in my spirit to write about it on here but I just couldn’t any more so I’m going to share this with you all and then hopefully post the “scripture for the day” on here until……
I also started the Joyce Meyer’s 3030 challenge, it’s about spending at least 30 minutes studying the Bible, getting closer to God and what His word says about you and your walk with Him. Check it out and join if you want to 🙂
So enjoy the scriptures and I pray it speaks to you, lifts, encourages and blesses you..
And remember, your smile is your best feature, don’t forget to use it to the max 🙂
(Colossians 3:23, 24 NLT)
Work willingly at whatever you do, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people. Remember that the Lord will give you an inheritance as your reward, and that the Master you are serving is Christ.
(1 Peter 1:24, 25 NLT)
As the Scriptures say, “People are like grass; their beauty is like a flower in the field. The grass withers and the flower fades. But the word of the Lord remains forever.” And that word is the Good News that was preached to you.
Psalms 127:1 (NLT)
Unless the Lord builds a house, the work of the builders is wasted. Unless the Lord protects a city, guarding it with sentries will do no good.
Unless The Lord builds, all is vain – quirkytims
Give us help from trouble, For the help of man is useless. Psalms 60:11 (NKJV)
Give us help from trouble: for vain is the help of man. Psalms 60:11 (KJV)
Psalm 60:12 (KJV)
Through God we will do valiantly, For it is He who shall tread down our enemies.
Isaiah 53:5 (NKJV)
But He was wounded for our transgressions, He was bruised for our iniquities; The chastisement for our peace was upon Him, And by His stripes we are healed.
Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
Isaiah 61:7 (NLT)
Instead of shame and dishonour, you will enjoy a double share of honour. You will possess a double portion of prosperity in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours.
2 Chronicles 7:14 (NLT)
Then if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.
Matthew 21:21 N(LT)
Then Jesus told them, “I tell you the truth, if you have faith and don’t doubt, you can do things like this and much more. You can even say to this mountain, ‘May you be lifted up and thrown into the sea,’ and it will happen.
