Luke 1:49 (KJV)
For He that is mighty hath done to me great things; and holy is His name.
“I stand amazed in your presence
There is nothing you cannot do
I stand amazed in your presence
There is joy peace and hope
There’s no one like you, Jesus
There’s no one like you, in all the earth
There’s no one like You, Jesus
There’s no one like you
You do mighty things
You do glorious things
You’re a faithful God
Awesome is your name”
The above lines are lyrics from Sinach’s song “You do mighty things”. When I think of where I’ve been and where I am now, I ask for forgiveness for the lack of thanksgiving. The Lord has been faithful to me and my family. He has wrought many mighty and wondrous things in our lives. In the 70 days of 2014, He has indeed been God! What the enemy planned for evil, He turned into a point of praise and worship.
The verse of the song the song I mentioned above is encouraging.
“I stand amazed in Your presence”, that’s all I want to do for the rest of my life, like the people of Zion; gobsmacked by His awesome works and have nothing else to do but praise the One who brought me out of the miry clay and set my feet on solid rock (Psalms 40:2)
Yesterday evening was a bit rough for me, I started doing what I told myself I wouldn’t do; cry, think and worry. The best part about that was when I felt like I was really losing it, I cried to God, asked Him to encourage and make me happy. Immediately I said those words I felt comforted, I got off the bed and went outside to put out the bins and even swept the areas around the bins. hehehe 🙂
Then I read a post on Yinkus Pinkus which felt like God was telling me to be strong. Thanks for the post dear 🙂
Today, I’m here encouraging someone not to forget that your God, my God, our God who is mighty, has done GREAT things in your life, my life and our lives!
Take time out to think of those things and see the praise flow from your heart to this MIGHTY God.
Have a wonderful day and don’t forget to make someone’s day by giving them your best smile 🙂
Enjoy the song by Sinach…
