Hey quirkies, it’s been one of those times where the soon in “talk to y’all soon” ends up being months away 🙂
I’ve been preoccupied with so many things and it wasn’t until Walebaby(my special name for one of my friends) asked if what had happened to me(personal personal things) had affected my blog that I realised it’s been ages! I think I can hear someone saying shame! *sigh*
I ask that you forgive me and I pray for strength to be consistent 🙂
April was a wonderful month full of God’s favour, especially in times I was certain it was over! God showed up time and time again. Exodus 14:14 ” The LORD himself will fight for you. Just stay calm” was evident in my life and I’m excited for the month of May.
Every month for the past 5 months, I ask God for a word. When I get it, I key into that word, speak it, pray it until it becomes a part of me.
As you would expect, I got a word for May and thought to share it. “Behold, I and the children whom the LORD hath given me are for signs and for wonders in Israel from the LORD of hosts, which dwelleth in mount Zion.” Isaiah 8:18(KJV)
This month, may signs and wonders be evident in your life in the land that you dwell in! You and yours will be an example of God’s greatness, and no one will doubt that it is indeed God at work!
Yesterday, I was reminded of the importance of praising God and I have taken the reminder to heart. So when I don’t know what to do, praise will burst forth from within.
Here’s the lyrics to the song the Holy Spirit “prodded” me with 🙂
Praise is what I do – William Murphy
Praise is what I do
When I want to be close to You,
I lift my hands in praise.
Praise is who I am,
I will praise Him while I can.
I’ll bless Him at all times.
I vow to praise You
Through the good and the bad.
I’ll praise You,
Whether happy or sad.
I’ll praise You
In all that I go through,
Because praise is what I do,
Cause I owe it all to You.
Praise is what I do,
Even when I am going through,
I’ve learned to worship You.
Though my circumstance doesn’t even stand a chance,
My praise out weighs the bad.
May praise never cease in our lives, I’ll leave y’all with the song and a promise to come back sooner than my previous “soon” (does that even makes sense? hehehe 🙂 )
