Easy on the reins child

Stand still and know that He is God
Know that He will never leave your side
Stand still and know that He is God
Know that He will never leave your side
He’ll fight your battles if you let Him
He’ll be your refuge; He’ll be your comfort
He’ll fight your battles if you let Him
He’ll be your refuge; He’ll be your comfort
So you should let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, let God
Let God have His way
So you should let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, let God
Let God have His way
(repeat 3 times)

He’ll fight your battles if you let Him
He’ll be your refuge; He’ll be your comfort
He’ll fight your battles if you let Him
He’ll be your refuge; He’ll be your comfort
He’ll fight your battles if you let Him
He’ll be your refuge; He’ll be your comfort

So you should let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, let God
Let God have his way
So you should let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, let God
Let God have his way
So you should let go, let God, let go, let God, let go, let God
Let God have his way.

You know those lazy music listening days? When you just let the tracks play on without skipping. Well that’s how I spent part of my evening today; listening to music and letting it flow through me πŸ™‚
Then the song (for the above lyrics) came on and I smiled. It brought back memories; me singing unabashed not really understanding the words, dancing without rhythm… πŸ™‚ hehehe

Fast-forward to today, the true meaning of letting God have His way properly understood, howbeit still fine tuning the process 😦
“Be still”, now that’s another feat! Be still, be calm, do not budge, trust me, let me do “my thing”, I’ve got this, really? This is nothing for me……. These are the phrases that pop in my head when I think of “Be still”.
Psalm 46:10a buttresses the point I’m trying to make as well; “Be still, and know that I am God”(KJV).
Anytime “Be still” comes up in our lives, it’s God saying “let go of the reins, easy with the grip and let me take control, let me do what only I can do”.

I pray that as God asks us to stand still, we’ll obey and then experience His awesome works!
Have a lovely evening and keep transforming people’s lives with your super smile πŸ™‚

Here’s Hezekiah Walker with Let Go, Let God. Enjoy :)7
