At the cross, I began again

Christ arrives right on time to make this happen. He didn’t, and doesn’t, wait for us to get ready. He presented himself for this sacrificial death when we were far too weak and rebellious to do anything to get ourselves ready. And even if we hadn’t been so weak, we wouldn’t have known what to do anyway.

We can understand someone dying for a person worth dying for, and we can understand how someone good and noble could inspire us to selfless sacrifice.

But God put his love on the line for us by offering his Son in sacrificial death while we were of no use whatever to him.

(‭Romans‬ ‭5‬:‭6-8‬ MSG)

Always remember, it’s not about you; how you act, what you do/do not do. It’s all about the moment He decided to die JUST FOR YOU even when you were unworthy.

Don’t let the enemy take away that from you, the ransom/price for your soul was paid in full at the cross, you do not need to pay in guilt, constantly trying to make up for your sins or by running away from His presence, FULLY He paid it all.

All He requires is that you come to Him JUST as you are and  His LOVE will TRANSFORM you. Jesus saves and can save you too! For it was at the cross that you and I began again.

Happy Good Friday…(is that the proper greeting?) May the sacrifice Jesus made for us never be in vain in our lives. I hope you have a great weekend and enjoy the bank holiday weekend/public holiday(my naija peeps). I also want to thank Mr Anifalaje of ShotbyFemo photography for inspiring this post, I saw the photo of the cross and the caption on his Instagram page and I knew I had to write a post.

I’ll leave you all with this song; Forever by Kari Jobe. I found the song while researching for Easter songs for church on Wednesday and all I can say is I have been in heaven. I hope it blesses your heart as it has mine. Have a lovely week and always remember your smile is the best thing about someone’s day; Smile, smile, smile.

  1. I am a perfect example of being taken as we are, unworthy and all. I guess we all are. I hope I get close to worthy real soon, cos I know I am still operating under His unconditional love.
